Attention! Due to the size of the tires, Packages might be SEPARATED in the courier facility and not be DELIVERED on the SAME DAY, even though we do ship them together. Tracking information can be checked by logging on to the courier website with the master tracking number you will receive via email. For example, you can receive 3 tires in one day and the 4th one the next day or the day after, or one tire in one day and the second one day after. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for our buyers, however, this is ABSOLUTELY out of our control.
Achilles Dura Grip II
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Summer weather traction
- Enhanced controllability
- Upgraded load durability
- Longer-lasting tread life
OVERVIEW
The Achilles Dura Grip II is a highway terrain, summer tire made for commercial vans.
Summer weather traction allows the tire's safe performance during dry and wet conditions. The summer compound and the tread design increase the grip in hot summer and wet conditions. The stronger compound keeps the rubber flexible and also prevents heat build-up along the tread. The detailed footprint allows the tire to enhance the surface grip with extra biting edges. The wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning, by dispersing water from the footprint and boosting the wet weather traction.
The detailed tread pattern upgrades controllability. The tread design optimizes surface contact. The footprint features a shoulder pattern that improves cornering, maneuvering, and handling. The special tread design allows the tire to boost surface contact, increasing steering responsiveness. The steering response is faster and more precise to the driver's commands, while the structure is also secured. These tread elements and durable compound guarantees the tire's safe performing capability.
The model also promotes a longer-lasting tread life. The tread design can evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area, while the durable compound slows the treadwear rate down. These two enhancements significantly protect the tire from irregular and premature wear formations along the tread. This improves the tire's service life and usability.
The Achilles Dura Grip II enhances durability as well. The reinforced internal structure keeps the ideal tire shape at all times. The stronger construction, with the durable compound, does not allow the tire to deform under load and driving pressure. As the tire does not deform under pressure, it is able to carry and withstand heavy loads. This promotes the tire's overall load-handling capability.
There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
