OVERVIEW

The Continental ContiSportContact 5P is a high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger tires and SUVs. This model fits the specific requirements for both the front and back axle positions.

This model offers excellent summer weather road grip, and it has great traction in dry and wet weather conditions. The tire is not recommended for use in winter conditions as it loses its traction in colder weather. The wide circumferential grooves help resist hydroplaning in deeper water by channeling said water from beneath the tire's footprint. The tire is safe to be used in dry and wet conditions as it provides remarkable traction.

The tire's performing ability was enhanced. The Black Chili tire compound used in its manufacture shortens the braking distance by building heat and providing additional biting edges during cornering. The same biting edges increase the tire's cornering ability and power, making its maneuverability better. The reduced tread movement, made possible by the stiff tread lugs and ribs, offers a more precise steering responsiveness. The better steering precision improves the tire's response time to the driver's command and, in this way, its controllability.

The rolling resistance of the ContiSportContact 5P was reduced. Due to this, the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions were lowered as well. The decreased fuel usage makes the tire more environmentally friendly and economically efficient.

This specific tire is marked with N1 as it is the original equipment of Porsche vehicles.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
