OVERVIEW

The Cooper Discoverer A/T3 is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. Cooper offers a 55,000 mile treadwear warranty with this tire model.

The light truck sizes of this tire model were manufactured with higher cord strength in their carcass. This reinforcement makes them stronger and capable of handling heavy loads and it prevents damages caused by off road terrains. The strengthened sidewalls are only a feature of the light truck sizes of the Discoverer A/T3, the SUV sizes do not offer them.

The tire is capable of handling all uneven, soft or loose terrains. Its five-rib tread pattern increases the all terrain traction and provides good road grip on all sorts of road surfaces, especially on soft, rocky and gravel roads. The self-cleaning saw-tooth design of the tread, with the wide zig-zag shaped grooves and added siping detail, maintains road contact at all times. It keeps the tire clean from mud and snow while also reducing stone retention and drilling. As the tread is clean at all times, the model is able to perfectly grip the road surface and conquer all terrains.

The tread pattern, with its five-rib design and silica-based tire compound, enhances the tire's all weather traction. The model grips all sorts of road surfaces in dry, wet and winter weather, and it does not lose its excellent traction as the tread cleans anything that can block the tire's road contact. The wide circumferential grooves increase the hydroplaning resistance by evacuating water and slush from between the tread elements. This allows the driver to confidently and safely control the vehicle in all weather conditions.

The coupled elements in the tread offer first-rate driving stability and steering responsiveness in dry and wet weather. The chemically bonded silica tread compound and the clean tread maintain constant road contact, improving the tire's on-road performing capability. The model offers a long lasting tread life. The five-ribs evenly spread the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking across the tread area and this exceptional distribution prevents irregularities as the tire wears out. The tire's internal structure features high tensile steel belts, which increase the impact strength and the puncture resistance. In other words, the internal structure prevents accidental punctures, cuts and impact damage on the tire. The silica tread compound enhances the model's cut and chipping resistance in harsher terrains. All of these components increase the usability of the tire and therefore its lifetime.

The Adventurer A/T3 offers a comfortable and quiet driving experience on-road. The aggressive tread pattern absorbs the shock of driving, reducing the road vibrations felt in the cabin of the vehicle, while also cancelling out road and pattern noise generated when the tires are in motion. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
