OVERVIEW

The Falken BI830 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's drive axle.

The tire's tread design and all season tire compound upgrade the all weather traction. The symmetric tread design with the aggressive center tread area firmly grips the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather. The tread's siping detail improves the number of biting edges gripping the road surface, boosting the model's year round performance. The compound keeps the rubber flexibility throughout the year, including in colder temperatures. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from below the tire's footprint and increase the wet and winter road gripping ability.

The tread pattern upgrades the length of the tread life. The symmetric tread design features a detailed center tread block placement and solid shoulder ribs that maintain the tire's road contact at all times. This enables the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoids the formation of irregular wear along the tread area. The prevention of uneven tread wear extends the tread life and the tire's usability significantly.

The BI830 has first-rate driving stability. The tread design's solid closed shoulder ribs keep the tire's road contact at all times. This helps stabilize the tire against the driving pressure affecting it, especially in line haul situations. The better driving stability enables the tire to precisely follow the steer tire's instructions and ensure a secure performance.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
