OVERVIEW

The Falken GI-388 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle in all axle positions.

The tire utilizes its footprint and ideal tread design to enhance the controllability. The symmetric ribbed tread design and the tire’s constant surface contact upgrades the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The optimised surface contact enhances the steering response time and accuracy in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. This combination greatly upgrades the driver’s control over the vehicle, no matter which axle the model is mounted on.

The model promotes great damage resistance. The stone defense features actively eject rocks stuck between the tread elements before they can drill into the casing. This, along with the reinforced under-tread rubber thickness, prevents stone retention from harming the tire. The model’s reinforced internal structure protects the casing from external damage. In other words, it avoids punctures, cuts and impact damage that could otherwise shorten the tire’s service life. The stronger compound manages to resist the tread’s chipping, cracking or tearing. The tire also features special curb guards on the sidewalls which protect the casing from in-service damage. These manufacturing elements ensure the tire’s exceptional performance safety.

The GI-388 ensures great all weather traction. The all season compound and the optimized tread design work together to enhance the dry, wet and winter weather grip on the road surface. The compound keeps the rubber flexibility all year round. It optimizes the traction in warmer summer and colder winter situations. The tread’s ideal siping placement boosts the grip throughout the year with additional biting edges. The optimal groove placement enhances the traction by avoiding hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush stuck between the tread elements, further improving the wet and winter weather driving safety levels.
