The Firestone FD609 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model was designed for drive axle positions.

Great load and driving durability are ensured with the tire's reinforced internal structure. This tire features a robust structure that does not deform under load and driving pressure. As the tire does not deform, it can securely carry and withstand heavy loads. This optimizes the tire's overall load durability, optimizing its heavy-duty applications.

Better dry, wet, and winter grip is guaranteed with this model. The tire's grip on dry, wet, and winter roads is boosted with the solid shoulder ribs and the optimal center block placement. The wide grooves prevent hydroplaning, by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. The tread design is able to grip the driving surface firmly, while the all season compound maintains rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures. These elements improve the year-round traction.

Longer-lasting tread life is guaranteed with the FD609. The tire manages to optimize its treadwear rate and manner. The tread's tie bars and solid shoulder ribs work together to achieve this. They actively resist irregular and premature wear across the tread area by combating tread flexing, which ensures even pressure circulation. This significantly improves the tire's usability.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
