OVERVIEW

The Firestone T831 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for commercial vehicles. This model was created for the vehicle's drive axle.

The tire ensures exceptional all season traction. The aggressive lug pattern and the wide groove pattern provide the necessary traction on dry, wet, and winter weather surfaces. The larger blocks manage to generate extra biting edges while the tires are in motion, optimizing the forward traction at all times. Stronger compound elements keep the rubber flexible throughout the year, boosting the performing power. The wider grooves channel water and slush from the footprint, avoiding hydroplaning in the process.

A longer lasting tread life is guaranteed as well. The stabilized tread design of the aggressive footprint is able to evenly circulate the driving pressure. It effectively avoids premature and irregular wear along the tread area. On the other hand, the damage-resistant compound helps to prevent the tread's chipping, cracking, and tearing. The optimal wear manner and excellent damage resistance upgrade the tire's service life.

The T831 upgrades the load capacity as well. The reinforced stress-relied body ply contour maintains the ideal tire shape under the load and driving pressure. This model does not deform under pressure, increasing the load carrying and withstanding capability. The stronger construction ensures the tire's commercial applications, as it enhances the load durability.

There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.

The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
