OVERVIEW

The Goodyear G291 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle in all axle positions. This model was made especially for emergency vehicles, such as ambulances or fire trucks.

The tread design features a symmetric ribbed pattern and a high-density siping detail. This design enables the tire to improve the year round traction. The detailed tread design heightens the number of biting edges gripping the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather, while the durable compound keeps the rubber flexibility in various temperatures. The tread's circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. This allows the tire to improve the all weather traction and enhance the driving safety.

The tire improves the tread life length as well. The symmetric tread design maintains the ideal surface contact throughout the model's performance. The better road contact ensures even pressure distribution along the tread area. In other words, the equally circulated forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoids irregular wear formations. On the other hand, the durable compound slows the tread wear rate down with the wear-resistant rubber materials, which significantly lengthens the usability and tread life.

The G291 upgrades the durability. The tire was manufactured with the special Unisteel construction. This full steel belt internal structure keeps the ideal tire shape under the load and driving pressure affecting the model. In this manner, the tire improves its load carrying and withstanding ability and power. The results in a heavy-duty load durability during the tire's performance as the strengthened structure does not deform under the load and driving pressure.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
