OVERVIEW

The Goodyear Marathon RTD is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model is made for all axle positions.

The special ribbed tread design and the footprint stability enable the tire's surface contact. The special tread design enhances consistent forward motion. This enables the tire to boost its steering responsiveness and driving stability. As a result, the tire has full control over the vehicle by providing fast and more precise steering responses. The special construction protects the tire from deformations. As the tire does not deform under load and driving pressure, its ability to carry and withstand heavy loads. This tire offers excellent controllability and maneuvering.

This tire also has great all season traction, thanks to the special tread design and the durable compound. The ribbed design and the wide grooves upgrade the tire's grip on the road surface, thanks to the extra biting edges. The ideal all season compound keeps the tire flexible in various weather situations, even in hot summer and cold winter conditions. The wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from the footprint and by that boosting the wet and winter weather traction.

The Goodyear Marathon RTD also promotes a longer-lasting tread life. The multi-compound and scrub-resistant tread improve the tread wear rate. The special tread design keeps constant surface contact and evenly distributes pressure along the tread area. This prevents irregular wear formation along the tread area, while the special compound prevents premature wear formation as well. The slow and even wear enables the tire to boost the overall tread life length.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
