OVERVIEW

The Goodyear SofTrac is an all season tire manufactured for lawn mowers and garden tractors.

The tread design improves the turf traction. The wider footprint and the S-shaped tread blocks boost the versatile terrain and year round performance. These tread elements optimize the surface contact while the tires are in motion, optimizing the grip on turf terrains and upgrading the different terrain traction. The better traction allows the tire to enhance the forward motion on turf terrains to increase the all weather performing capability.

The wider footprint and the better soft traction work together to ensure a turf friendly performance. This tread design enables it to ease the driving pressure off the tire, minimizing the pressure affecting the driving surface. As a result, the tire manages to prevent damage to the grass and turf terrain surface. They resist turf damage from harming the grass, which makes the tire perfect for lawn mowers and other garden equipment vehicles, promoting a turf friendly driving experience.

The SofTrac enhances the controllability as well. The flat and wider footprint with the S-shaped tread block pattern maintains the surface contact while the tires are in motion. In this manner, the tire is quicker and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. This combination greatly upgrades the driver's better control over the vehicle throughout its performance.

This is a bias ply tire. Due to the tire's internal construction and size, it is possible that the tire will look deformed. Smaller bias ply tires do not have reinforced constructions that can keep the tire from deforming. The bias construction and the small tire's non-reinforced internal structure allow the tire to fold in when it is deflated or not properly inflated. This is not constructional damage or an issue; it is a normal occurrence with such tires. In such cases, the tire needs to be mounted and inflated to the proper PSI or, in some instances, an inner tube needs to be added. The proper PSI and the inner tube are able to maintain the tire's ideal shape, preventing the bias plies from looking deformed. This ensures their performing safety and durability.
