OVERVIEW

The Hankook Optimo H426 (OE) is a touring all season tire model manufactured for passenger and performance vehicles. This model is the original equipment tire of select vehicles.

The tire has great all weather traction and thanks to the computer optimized tire footprint it grips the road well in dry, wet and winter weather conditions. The four circumferential grooves and the rib type shoulder design channel water away from the tread area and increase the wet weather traction. The better water dispersing ability and excellent all weather traction improve the year round safety of the tire.

The model's computer optimized tire footprint and the diamond shaped tread block design enhance the tire's performing capability. They maintain constant road contact and upgrade its driving stability and, by doing so, enable the tire to perform to its highest capability. Its internal structure features two wide steel belts and a high stiffness bead that improves the steering responsiveness by optimizing the tire's shape. The tire does not deform under the driving pressure, which allows it to swiftly and accurately respond to the driver's instructions. This ensures that the driver can confidently control the tire in all conditions.

The twin steel belts in the internal structure, along with the shoulder tread design, also boost the cornering ability. They keep the tire in contact with the road constantly and ensure an optimized tire footprint, which provides additional biting edges and road surface contact to the model. During cornering, these enhancements bite into the road and maintain tire shape to increase the cornering ability, power and stability, all of which make the tire safer to use.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
