OVERVIEW

The Ironman I-601 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model was made for all axle positions of these vehicles.

The tire improves the length of the tread life. The stabilized tread elements of the five-rib pattern and the decoupling grooves allow the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure across the tread area. The stable footprint allows the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area, avoiding irregular wear formations. The durable compound elements allow the tire to decrease the overall treadwear rate with the wear-resistant rubber materials. The slower and even wear greatly enhances the usability.

The five-rib tread design enhances the controllability. These tread elements closely follow the road surface with extra biting edges, improving the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The better road contact upgrades the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. This combination optimizes the tire's handling, upgrading the driving safety levels.

The I-601 improves the fuel efficiency as well. The stronger all season compound and the EPA SmartWay technology work together to ease the driving pressure off the tire, minimizing the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure affecting the tire which determines the vehicle's needed fuel intake levels, in order to keep the tires in motion. Lowering the rolling resistance, the tire is able to decrease the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels, guaranteeing a fuel conscious driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
