OVERVIEW

The Michelin X Multi Energy D is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's drive axle.

The tire promotes excellent all weather traction. The symmetric ribbed tread design features Matrix and zigzag sipes that enhance the grip on the road surface in dry, wet and winter weather. The tread's constant surface contact and the higher number of biting edges boost the grip on the road surface in various conditions. The special dual energy compound increase the tire's rubber flexibility in various temperatures, optimizing the model's traction from the heat of summer to colder winter conditions. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. In this manner, the tire ensures a secure year round performing ability.

The special dual energy compound and the ideal all weather traction work together to improve the model's fuel efficiency. They enhance the traction and ease the driving pressure off the tire, while also keeping the tire cool during the performance. As a result, the tire decreases the rolling resistance, which is the external driving pressure affecting the tire, which determines the vehicle's needed fuel intake during the drive. This significantly reduces the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, ensuring a fuel conscious and environmentally friendly driving experience.

The X Multi Energy D offers a longer lasting tread life. The durable tire compound and the optimal tread design increase the tread life by preventing premature and irregular wear formations across the tread area. The compound slows the tread wear rate down with the wear-resistant rubber materials and by easing the driving pressure off the tire. The detailed Matrix and full-depth zigzag siping detail upgrades the year round performing ability. This enables the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking actively avoids uneven tread wear formations across the tread area. The slower and even tread wear rate lengthens the tread life and promotes a longer usability.

There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.

The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
