OVERVIEW

The Michelin X Multi Energy Z is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle in all axle positions.

The tire promotes great fuel efficiency. The tire was manufactured from a dual compound, which features a fuel layer that prevents heat build-up during the drive by minimizing the internal casing temperatures. The special energy saving casing, on the other hand, improve the tire's traction and ease the driving pressure off the tire. This combination significantly decreases the rolling resistance, which is the pressure determining the energy needed to keep the tires in motion. The reduced rolling resistance in turn lessens the vehicle's fuel intake and CO2 emissions, which promotes a fuel conscious driving experience.

The model guarantees a lengthened tread life. The dual compound's upper layer is wear-resistant which greatly slows the tread wear rate down. On the other hand, the optimal tread pattern and the internal structure stabilize the tread elements, which enables the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoids the formation of irregular tread wear on the tire's surface, extending the tread life and the tire's usability.

The reinforced construction features a full width elastic protector ply, a reinforced bead structure and high-strength steel belts that work together to increase the tire's durability. The X Multi Energy Z improves its controllability. The symmetric ribbed pattern with the high-density siping detail maintains the road contact at all times. The matrix sipes firmly grip the road surface and improve the steering responsiveness and the driving stability by the better road contact. In this manner, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model.
