OVERVIEW

The Michelin XTA2 Energy is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's trailer axle. This tire is NOT MEANT TO BE MOUNTED ON LIGHT TRUCKS, as its construction will not support the weight and performing style of such vehicles. It can ONLY BE MOUNTED ON TRAILERS.

The tire promotes excellent fuel efficiency. It was produced from a special fuel saving compound and molded into a symmetric ribbed tread pattern. They work together to ease the driving pressure off the tire during its performance without decreasing its all weather traction. In this manner, they decrease the rolling resistance affecting the model. The rolling resistance is the driving pressure which determines the amount of energy the vehicle needs to keep the tires in motion. The reduced rolling resistance lessens the towing vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, which guarantees a fuel conscious and environmentally friendly performance.

The model's tread design and compound also improve its all weather traction. The symmetric ribbed tread pattern with the detailed siping and groove placement and the all season tire compound increase the tire's dry, wet and winter weather performance. The compound keeps its exceptional flexibility throughout the year, including in colder temperatures. The tread's micro rib edge siping heightens the number of biting edges gripping the road surface all year. The circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire's footprint. In this manner, the tire upgrades its driving safety.

The XTA2 Energy provides a secure performing capability. The symmetric ribbed pattern closely follows the road surface at all times and maintains the tire's contact with the road to improve the controllability. The ribbed pattern firmly grips the road surface and boosts the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. As a result, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the towing vehicle's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. In this manner, the tire is easier to tow as it gives full control to the towing vehicle.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
