OVERVIEW

The Nexen SB-802 is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire offers a stronger all weather traction. The all season compound and symmetric tread design work together to increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The compound maintains its flexibility even in colder temperatures, while the tread design firmly grips the road surface all year. The tread's S-shaped siping detail provides extra biting edges to ensure traction on ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. The wide circumferential and lateral grooves actively resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The excellent hydroplaning resistance and all weather performance guarantee a secure driving experience.

The model is easily controlled. The center and shoulder block ribs keep the tire's road contact at all times, which effectively boosts the steering responsiveness and driving stability. In this manner, the steering becomes faster and more precise in its responsiveness to the driver's commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tires during the drive. The shoulder tread blocks increase the number of biting edges that firmly grip the road surface during cornering and maneuvering. The tread design's S-shaped siping detail manages to shorten the braking distance by creating friction at the moment of braking. As a result, the tire's controllability is safer and effortless.

The SB-802 promotes a longer lasting tread life. The symmetric tread design evenly distributes the driving pressure along the tread area. This equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking actively resists the formation of irregular tread wear along the tire's surface. The tire's special all season compound is also wear-resistant. It significantly slows the tread wear rate down to ensure a lengthened tread life and tire usability.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
