OVERVIEW

The Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season (*) is a performance and high performance, all season tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This model is the original equipment tire of select BMW vehicles.

The model offers excellent performance throughout the year. The asymmetric tread design and the all season compound upgrade the tire’s performance in dry, wet, and winter-weather conditions. In this manner, the ideal tread pattern closely follows the road surface at all times, while the all season compound keeps the rubber flexible in changing temperatures. On the other hand, circumferential grooves effectively eliminate water and slush from the footprint and resist hydroplaning.

Excellent controllability is promoted with this tire. The asymmetric tread design manages to maintain close driving surface contact. It improves the tire’s steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the tire’s steering response time is quicker and more accurate to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. At the same time, the wide shoulder blocks boost cornering and maneuvering. This combination allows the driver to have full control over the vehicle, guaranteeing a safe driving experience.

The tire is designed with a run flat technology. The reinforced internal structure manages to withstand the weight of the vehicle and its passengers after air pressure loss. The tire is able to be driven for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph. This prevents the vehicle from being stranded next to the road and enables it to be driven to a nearby location where the tire can be fixed or changed. Run flat tires should not be mounted on the same vehicle as regular tires.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
