OVERVIEW

The Sumitomo ST709SE is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle in all axle positions.

The tire improves the all weather traction. The symmetric ribbed tread design and the all season tire compound boost the dry, wet and winter weather traction. The symmetric pattern's firm road grip upgrades the number of biting edges gripping the road surface, while the compound increases the rubber flexibility in various temperatures. The groove pattern avoids hydroplaning, as the wide grooves disperse water and slush from below the footprint. This combination increases the year round driving safety levels.

The tire offers a fuel efficient drive. The tread design and the all season compound improve the traction and ease the pressure off the tread area, which reduces the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the external pressure affecting the tire, which determines the vehicle's needed fuel intake in order to keep the tires in motion. By lowering the rolling resistance, the vehicle decreases the fuel consumption and CO2 emission levels during the drive, which results in the model's fuel conscious performance.
