OVERVIEW

The Sumitomo ST778 + SE is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's steer axle.

The model offers a lengthened tread life. The special Flat Contact technology optimizes the tire's footprint to maintain constant road contact. The symmetric ribbed tread pattern features a solid shoulder ribs and a siping detail that help improve the tire's road contact and enable the tire's all weather traction. The tread design allows the tire to evenly distribute the driving and load pressure along the tread area. This equal circulation of the forces affecting the tire avoids irregular wear formations along the tread area. The ensured even wear extends the tread life and the tire's usability significantly.

The tire's internal structure features a reinforced steel belt construction. The four steel belts of the internal construction maintain the tire's optimal shape under the driving and load pressure affecting the tire. This allows the tire to perform at its best capability while carrying heavy loads as its shape does not deform during the drive. The optimized tire shape and strengthened structure enable the tire to carry and withstand heavy loads with ease, which provides a secure driving experience and excellent durability.
