OVERVIEW

The Sumitomo ST909 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. It was made to be mounted on the vehicle's drive axle.

The tire improves the tread life length. The wider footprint's close and constant surface contact and the optimal tread pattern work together to ensure even pressure distribution along the tread area. The equally spread out force of acceleration, cornering and braking actively avoids irregular wear formations across the tread area, extending the usability and tread life. The durable compound, on the other hand, boosts the tread life by decreasing the tread wear rate of the tire during the model's performance.

The tread design and the stronger structure improve the damage resistance. The special stone retention prevention tread design, with the Y-shaped grooves, prevents rocks from drilling into the tread area, preventing them from harming the casing. The stronger construction manages to resist external damage, such as punctures, cuts and impact damage, from shortening the tire's service life by causing its downtime. In this manner, the tire ensures a safer driving experience, as it actively avoids damage which may injure the casing.
