The Yokohama LY053 is a highway terrain, all season tire made for commercial vehicles. This model is designed to be mounted on drive axle positions.

Excellent year-round traction is provided with this tire. Better dry, wet, and light winter grip is offered with the detailed tread design and the all season compound. Stronger rubber materials keep the tire pliable throughout the year, optimizing its summer and winter performance. Additionally, the tread's sipes create biting edges, upgrading its road grip. Grooves combat hydroplaning in wet conditions. They channel water and slush from the footprint, increasing its wet grip.

The model boosts its service life and usability. The optimal tread design evenly distributes driving pressure along the tread area. The special silica compound decreases the treadwear rate significantly. This slow and even wear offers a longer-lasting tread life. In other words, these elements resist irregular and premature wear formations, which enables the tire to perform for a longer period.

The Yokohama LY053 improves its load and driving durability. This tire features a robust structure that does not deform under load and driving pressure. As the tire does not deform, it is able to securely carry and withstand heavy loads. This optimizes the tire's overall load durability, optimizing its heavy-duty applications.

As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.

The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertised represents the tire's overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer's recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
